UNITED WE ARE STRONG

We earnestly invite all electricians belonging to our trade to come forward, join in our ranks and help increase our numbers, until there shall be no one working at our trade outside of our Brotherhood.

--Portion of the 1891 Preamble to the Constitution of the IBEW.

HIGHER WAGES

The result of individual negotiations is that electricians in Florida earn significantly less than electricians in the rest of the country. By unionizing we can bargain collectively with employers to earn the highest competitive wage in the region.

RETIREMENT

The news is full of stories about baby boomers and millennials who are not able to save for their retirement. Union members have diversified retirement programs that are protected by law.

HEALTH INSURANCE

Sick and tired of being sick and tired? Union negotiated benefits follow the member from one signatory employer to the next. The cost is a negotiated benefit and in many cases covers the whole family.
